A veteran cornerback is expected to meet with the Vikings early next week.
The Minnesota Vikings are getting ready for the new season like every other team, but they could still use some help in the secondary. Minnesota has been searching for help and they may be getting it in the form of a five-time Pro-Bowler.According to NFL insider Josina Anderson, veteran cornerback Stephon Gilmore is going to meet with the Vikings next week. Gilmore has been on the open market all summer, but this could be his chance to land with a team before the new year starts.
Over the course of his career, Gilmore has made two All-Pro First-Teams, in 2018 and 2019. He was the co-leader around the league in interceptions in 2019 and was the NFL Defensive Player of the Year in the same year.The best season of his career came during the 2019 season when he registered 53 total tackles and six interceptions. The former South Carolina product was selected with the No. 10 pick in the 2012 NFL Draft by Buffalo.
