You can’t try to do something – you either do it, or you don’t.

“The most underrated leadership quality? The soft powers. Deloitte just did a study where 72 per cent of respondents said that they believe we have to redefine leadership in the modern world. All the soft powers of empathy, collaboration, passion, nurturing – those are all caregiving qualities, and yet we all hide those values, because, it's not the definition of leadership today. We need to understand that our differences are our greatest strength. Don’t apologise. Own it.

“Gender equality is not a female issue. It’s not a male issue. It’s a social and economic issue. That’s why what started as the Girls’ Lounge, at CES, has now evolved to the Equality Lounge. [Initially] it was about connecting women to one another. Then, once we’d built this whole community, the largest community of global working women, I realised that the only way true change will happen in the workplace is by making it a leadership issue.
