UK police recently targeted sellers in a major crackdown with raids taking place across the whole country
The UK's battle against illegal TV streaming is intensifying, with the Police Intellectual Property Crime Unit leading high-profile raids to clamp down on the offence.
Distributors caught in the act have faces fines upwards of £50,000 with perpetrators can also face imprisonment with terms up to ten years, reports BirminghamLive. While viewers of these streams usually incur lesser fines, they can still be penalised with thousands of pounds. In a recent case, a Croxteth father narrowly dodged jail time after admitting to promoting and selling illicitly modified fire sticks that provided access to premium film and TV content, including live football matches.
