Lt. Commander Jansen Benjamin, PCG 6 spokesperson, said two of the fatalities were from Iloilo. They were identified as 30-year-old Freddie Elad Divinagracia from Anilao and 65-year-old Rolando Arias Tañada from Tigbauan.In Aklan, the victim was identified as 57-year-old Matilde Delfin from New Washington.
Joemar Ocayo, 36, drowned in Pilar, Capiz; 40-year-old Jomar Soriano from Nueva Valencia, Guimaras, and 28-year-old Joseph Ragasa from EB Magalona, Negros Occidental. Despite these deaths, the PCG assisted various rescue units of local governments in watching beaches, rivers, and other water sites in Western Visayas during the event.
