Six weeks of service disruptions are coming to the Link light rail 1 line starting May 12.

The extension was announced six years ago by the Seattle-are public transit agency and is on schedule with the initial goal to start service to Lynnwood by mid-2024. Crews broke ground for construction on Sept. 3, 2019. Starting May 12, there will be no Link light rail service between the SeaTac/Airport and Angle Lake stations from the start of service until noon. The same will apply all day on June 1, June 2 until 10 a.m., and all day on June 22. Passengers will need to board theSound Transit said a separate train will run between SeaTac/Airport and Angle Lake stations every 16-20 minutes.
Crews will also be doing platform repair work at the Columbia City Station on June 1 and 2. Trains will be single tracking as one platform in each direction will be closed on each day.
