Emmerdale producer Laura Shaw has spilled the beans on some major upcoming storylines in the soap
Emmerdale fans look set to have some major storylines to enjoy with a return of a show favourite teased alongside the arrival of some new villagers while a steamy affair is also on the cards.
Teasing what will happen at Christmas, Emmerdale producer Laura explained: “I think the last couple of years, we have had a bit more of a light fluffier Christmas for Emmerdale. This one is going to be different in tone and a little bit more edgier. New arrivals This year, we have seen a lot of villagers come and go with more new arrivals mooted. One will impact the recent drama around the Sharma family. As you scroll below, you’ll find out more about new planned Emmerdale characters.
Laura added: “It is definitely going to have a huge impact on her life and all the people around them. We are working with a really amazing charity who have been guiding us every step of the way. It is going to b a long storyline which will run over a period of months and years. Along the lines of the Ashley dementia storyline.”
Steamy affair Emmerdale wouldn’t be Emmerdale without an affair. The upcoming one will feature lots of sordid secrets and deceit. Laura explained: “We love an affair in soaps. We have a very passionate steamy affair coming up between two people.”
