7 patay, 60 pamilya nawalan ng tirahan sa sunog sa Taytay, Rizal

Patay ang pitong magkakamag-anak at 60 pamila ang nawalan ng tahanan sa sunog sa Taytay, Rizal na sumiklab gabi ng Sabado de Gloria.

Natagpuan ang mga labi ng pitong biktima banda sa kusina at sa may kubeta ng kanilang bahay, ayon kay Fire Inspector Raymond Cantillon.Sa inisyal na imbestigasyon ng Taytay Fire Station, sinikap ng mga biktima na makalabas ng bahay pero nabigo sila dahil nasa pinakadulo ng eskinita ang kanilang bahay at nabalot na ng apoy ang mga kabahayan sa may bungad ng daanan.

“Eskinita kasi ‘yun -- one way in, one way out. Nagsimula ang sunog sa bungad na bahay at malaki na siya at hindi nakalabas ang mga biktima natin,” pahayag ni Cantillon sa panayam ng dzBB. “Wala nang matakbuhan at karamihan ng harap na bahay ay gawa sa light materials kaya mabilis na kumalat ang apoy,” dagdag ni Cantillon.Iniimbestigahan pa an ng mga taga-BFP Taytay ang sanhi ng sunog at ang pinsalang iniwan ng apoy.
