They were rescued by a charity and are now safe
The litter was left without a feeding mother and had no food and no shelter.
But the team at Lost Paws NI were alerted to the Collie pups and they were secured and transported to The Barn Animal Rescue Newtownard s at 3am on June 16.A spokesperson for Lost Paws said: "These pups are barely eight weeks old and goodness knows what they’ve been surviving on. To take a young defenceless pup and dump them into the wilderness is abhorrent to put it mildly. One puppy is unfortunately not doing too well and is receiving veterinary care.
Glenn Forde who runs The Barn said: "They are beautiful little pups, shy and a bit nervous but coming round. They're safe now and we're very glad the person who found out about them alerted Lost Paws NI. They have thanked us for opening up for us at 3am but we're just so grateful to be able to help."For all the latest news, visit the Belfast Live homepage here and sign up to our daily newsletter here.
