Gavin News om announced on Wednesday, marking one year since the California Highway Patrol and California National Guard were deployed to clean up the streets of The City.Since May 2023, the CHP have also issued 6,200 citations and recovered 115 stolen vehicles, the governor said.
Violent crime and property crime are significantly down year-over-year in San Francisco, Newsom's office said. California has invested $1.1 billion since 2019 to fight crime, help local governments hire more police, and improve public safety.
