The Auld Enemy are on their way to Hampden ahead of a friendly that will be anything but.
For a game that's titled as a friendly, it will likely provide a thunderous edge with bragging rights on the line.
Gordon Strachan The former Scotland boss insists there is NO way his side will lose the match, and he has a message for Newcastle duo Elliot Anderson and Harvey Barnes too as both swither on playing for the Tartan Army. He told Gambling Zone: "This is going to be a fiery game. We’ve got two teams playing each other that have both done incredibly well in recent times.
Simon Jordan talkSPORT's fiery co-presenter wants a game with added fire, blood and thunder. And he expects one too: "There's nothing worse than a one-sided game where you have got two rivals supported fiercely supported by the various supporters but you have a game that turns to nothing. I'd like to see a really competitive game and I anticipate that. Scotland are in good nick, good momentum and they will believe they can do some damage to the English.
"For all that it may be bit of a William Wallace moment, there is something more tangible riding on this match. For Scotland, it’s a yardstick for their development; for England it’s a chance to restore faith in their direction under Southgate. If the Scots can win it will remove a glass ceiling and their self-belief will go sky-high. But they have nothing to lose, unlike the visitors, who are vulnerable and probably need the win more than their hosts do.
"Our midfield and left-side defence is the strongest area of the team with all due respect. I think we have better forwards than we have before but not at the elite level. Defensively we have been far better than we've been but perhaps not at the elite level. Jordan Henderson would get games for Scotland but right now, in current form, I am struggling to leave any of those four boys out.
