The Scottish SPCA is looking for 'forever homes' for a number of snakes in its care.
Scotland’s biggest animal welfare charity is searching for forever homes for eight of their "charming" snakes. Among the reptiles looking for a new owner is a boa constrictor called William Snakespeare and two pythons named Ebenezer Squeezer and Hissy Elliot.
This boa constrictor, they say, likes to “wander round his tank or curl up and chill out”, and also enjoys spending time outside his vivarium, whilst four year old Ebenezer Squeezer is described as a “pretty chilled and friendly snake” who only wants loads of places to chill out and hide. Inferno cornsnake Peaches is said to have a "nervous nature" and would best suit an experienced owner who will give her care and attention to allow her to develop confidence around people.
Cornsnake Jungle, however, came into the charity as a stray with a damaged tail that required amputation, and now needs daily medication. The charity says he would be "best suited to an experienced reptile owner who can keep an eye on his tail and ensure he is getting the correct husbandry and enrichment he needs to have a full life".
