English football fans are furious about the proposed reform to the FA Cup and claim it will only benefit top six clubs like Liverpool and Man City.has been gathering the reaction of fans in light of proposed reform to the FA Cup that would scrap replays and two-legged semi-finals.
As relayed by the BBC , the third and fourth round replays of the competition, as well as the two-legged semi-finals, are expected to be scrapped amid reforms to the English football calendar. The changes have been triggered by pressure on the domestic schedule as a result of the expansion of European competitions.
It is unclear when the changes could come into effect although the English calendar will be feeling the pressure from next season when the Champions League and Europa League first phases expand to 36 clubs.So lower league clubs lose out on potential paydays because the greedy league are complaining about too many games…The same greedy league clubs that travel all over the World for about 6 weeks before the season begins playing god knows how many games to boost revenue..
One fan went as far as to suggest bigger sides shouldn’t enter the competition if they can’t handle the schedule.If the big clubs don't like replays, maybe they shouldn't enter. A replay for a lower league club could set them up financially for the season or a few seasons.
