Financial Review Senior Correspondent Aaron Patrick says there is “posturing” and “blackmailing” from independents over Labor’s $10 billion housing package.

“What’s happening – is you’re seeing some posturing in the senate particularly by these independents Jacqui Lambie and David Pocock and they’re – blackmailing the government,” Mr Patrick told Sky News host Sharri Markson.

“They’re saying if you don’t give us what we want we’re possibly going to oppose this bill – this just shows how the independents have learnt how to play this government – a lot of publicity for them.”
