Lismore Mayor Steve Krieg says the town is having an open ceremony at one of the sporting grounds on Tuesday at 6:30pm.

Mr Krieg’s remarks come as the one-year anniversary of the Lismore floods is on Tuesday, and the council has a few things planned for the day. Mr Krieg revealed that NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet reached out to him and offered to support the Lismore community with some commemoration events. “It’s going to be an emotional day tomorrow doesn’t matter which way you look at it,” he told Sky News host Paul Murray.
