“It’s always open season on Christians – no one would ever say this about Muhammad – no one would ever dare say this about Allah,” Ms Storer told Sky News host Chris Kenny.

The city of Lismore was ravaged in February last year by the worst floods Australia has ever seen, leaving houses and city infrastructure damaged and houses unliveable. “The government has had to rewrite legislation and put these things in place which takes time, we get that,” Mr Krieg told Sky News Australia. “Hopefully, now that legislation is in place, things can pick up and people can get a bit of certainty around their futures.”
