Snowfall is predicted to commence around midday on December 31, with accumulations potentially reaching up to 10cm by 6pm, particularly affecting the North West and North East. He cautions, 'It's an early warning that we could well be in for some hazardous weather to bring in 2025.' A preliminary BBC forecast for New Year suggests that settled conditions may partially return during the first week of the new year, at least in the south-western and western areas of the UK. This forecast, encompassing the period from December to January 6, adds that the rest of the country might experience wetter and windier conditions.
