A drugged-up thug fractured my skull with a machete on a night out – now I’m scarred for life and afraid to leave the houseBy Ann Cusack and Anna RobertsA TEEN told how a night out turned deadly when she was attacked by a machete- wielding thug who fractured her skull.
“But I’d had a bit of a row with my mum earlier and I suppose I wanted to let my hair down and forget about it.Joshua O'Connell has been jailed for the attack “One minute I was trying to calm Josh down -the next I was lying, bleeding, on the pavement,” Megan explained. “I found out later that my mum knows some members of his family, which just makes it all seem even worse.”
“You were drunk and you were also under the influence of cocaine. Your anger was explosive and difficult to control with devastating consequences for Megan Lea.”He said O'Donnell has unresolved issues of anger, frustration and depression after finding a friend who had killed himself.
