The iconic '90s soap Melrose Place is set to make a comeback with a brand new reboot starring some of the star's from the original.

Despite starring many of the original characters, including queen bee Heather Locklear, The CW's Melrose Place bombed and was canceled after just one season. The ill-fated season kicked off with a fresh batch of twenty-somethings living in the same West Hollywood apartment block as the original cast. In the reboot, Amanda switched careers from advertising to publicity and served as the menacing boss of newbie Ella Simms, played by Katie Cassidy.
Sydney was killed off for a second time in the opening episode, which sparked a murder mystery that drove the season's various storylines Despite her star power going into the series, Ashlee's performance was savaged by critics and viewers, and she was quickly written out of the show before the first season had even wrapped.
Other original characters to return included Josie Bissett's Jane Andrews and the villainous Dr. Michael Mancini, played by Thomas Calabro'CW, catching up on . Who writes this crap?' she tweeted. This version will pick up with a number of the original Melrose Place residents reuniting, 'when one of their dearest friends dies suddenly.'
After they all gather to honor their friend, 'the pressure cooker of a reunion soon uncovers old traumas, rekindles old romances, reignites old resentments, and reveals new secrets.'
