Simon Grundy and his wife Rachel have four St Bernard's at their home in Chorley - all rescued from the UK and Europe
Simon Grundy, from Chorley, a commercial underwriter with The Cumberland Building Society, spends much of his spare time looking after very big dogs. Simon dedicates hours to the charity rescuing giant-breed dogs from around the world and finding them a loving home on UK turf.
The dog's all have their own stories. In some cases, their owners simply can't keep them. In others, many have been neglected, abused, left in 'kill shelters' and some even come from the Chinese meat trade. "If they are no longer wanted, there is no rescue system there so if you don’t want a dog you take it to the local kill shelter.
