Helen toured homes in the southern Spanish village she'd been holidaying in since her 20s
Recently retired retail worker Helen, from Buckinghamshire, turned to A Place in the Sun for help to find her dream holiday home in Spain. She had a maximum budget of £120,000 to secure a three-bed property that was close to the local shops, bars and restaurants.
The property search was somewhat rocky, with nothing becoming a clear contender for the mum-of-two's investment - that was until the very end. Helen was already interested after learning the final apartment was just two minutes away from a shopping centre - making her retail therapy sessions very convenient.
