Former Liberal MP Jason Falinski says the Liberal Party’s stance on the Voice to Parliament is to focus on uniting Australians as a “united Australia is one that’s reconciled with its past”.
“I don’t think it’s been a blanket no, I think that they’ve agreed to recognition in the preamble of the constitution,” Mr Falinski told Sky News Australia.
“The important part here is not we’ve said no but what we’re going to put in its place, and I think that’s what comes next for Peter and his team.”
