The boys, aged six and eight, were in a car involved in a collision on the A52 in Lincolnshire.
Inquests have opened into the deaths of two brothers, aged six and eight, who were killed in a car crash on the Lincolnshire coast.
Louie Ellis and Mason Ellis died after the collision on the A52 between Sandilands and Huttoft on 2 October. Both boys were rear seat passengers in a Vauxhall Astra that was involved in a crash with an Audi, police said. Lincoln Coroner's Court heard on Monday that Louie died at the scene of the collision and Mason died in hospital.
The court was told the boys were from Alford in Lincolnshire and a provisional cause of death for Louie, aged eight, was given as abdominal injuries.Lincolnshire Police said the driver of the Astra and another passenger in the car were also seriously hurt.An investigation into the circumstances of the crash was under way, police added.
