After initially remaining in the game, Judge was replaced by a pinch hitter in the fourth inning.Judge has only missed one game all season for the Yankees. Any extended injury absence to the 32-year-old outfielder would put a massive dent in the lineup of the American League's best team.
As Judge was attended to by an athletic trainer and Yankees coach Brad Ausmus, he appeared to have a difficult time squeezing his hand fully, as replays showed:The injury comes just two days after another former AL MVP, Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Mookie Betts, was struck by a 98-mph fastball on his left hand, causing a fracture.
