Florio said that press conferences can be difficult for reporters who have their own “agenda” with questions — either trying to win awards or asking what the boss wanted, instead of tackling the obvious. “If he would have done it, the Jets would have had who: Tyrod Taylor as the starting quarterback, Zach Wilson, as the starting quarterback?” Florio said. “They would have been screwed.”
Florio was disappointed in New York media, which has a reputation of being the hardest and most critical in sports.
