The Senegalese attacker has been in a rich vein of form for Rangers but re-shared a snap after the defeat to Aris.
Abdallah Sima has shared a snap of him swapping jerseys with a victorious Aris star after a Rangers' damaging defeat in Limassol.
The post-match criticism levied at interim boss Steven Davis and Co was heavy, days after Michael Beale was axed from his position and the Ibrox side in something of a slump. Sima, who has been a standout since arriving on loan from Brighton, helped to lift spirits with a cool finish against St Mirren on Sunday, as Rangers signed off before the international break manager-less, but with a win.
The pair smiled and posed for a photo with each other's jerseys after Rangers fell to defeat in the Europa League, with Sima's goal proving to be just a consolation for the fuming travelling supporters. Yet the 22-year-old seems now to have banished that pain, with Gomis posting the picture to his Instagram with the caption: "A pleasure," after playing 90 minutes against the Light Blues.
The Rangers winger added it to his story without caption, but a previous picture shared by Gomis showed the buzzing Limassol dressing room after picking up their biggest European win to date with the 31-year-old holding Sima's shirt. It remains to be seen how the Light Blues pick up their European campaign following the international break, with a double header against Sparta Prague up next. First, a trip to the Czech capital beckons before the return leg at Ibrox.
