Restoring public trust to the government and nationalism will be the focus of the former presidential spokesperson Ernesto C. Abella during his term if he wins in the 2022 presidential race.

During the first part of the Commission on Election Pilipinas Debate last Sat., Abella said he both are now lacking among Filipinos due to wrong government policies, which makes their lives harder.

During the debate, Abella also discussed his position in several economic issues including supporting the agricultural sector, which he said, suffered slowdown in its growth rate during the onset of the pandemic in 2020. He said he plans to do this by introducing more students to science and technology, engineering and math subjects so they will become more “innovative.”

He said he supports the initiative as long as the affected workers are given “commensurate” overtime pay for their longer work hours.
