Miovski is a man in demand and the Dons expect the first round of offers to come from Italy's top flight
Bologna have been long-term admirers of their top scorer but the Dons have been alerted to the the fact that there are also several other Italian top-flights who also have him on their wanted lists. Bologna have the cash as they are set to sell Dutch striker Joshua Zirkzee to Manchester United for over £30 million and defender Riccardo Calafiori is also a £40 million target for Arsenal.
The Dons are in a good position because Miovski still has two years left on his contract. They won’t put an asking price on the North Macedonian’s head and if a club wants to land him then they will need to get into the same ballpark when Aberdeen sold Calvin Ramsay for more than £6.5 million. Aberdeen have always been clear that if the right offer comes in and it fits their selling model and suits the player then they will make things happen. When Miovski does go Aberdeen will make a major profit on the £500,000 they paid Hungarian side MTK two summers ago.
Bologna has already had success with Aberdeen in the past signing Scottish international Lewis Ferguson, who is currently battling back from a serious ACL injury that saw him miss Euro 2024. The Rossoblu also signed Aaron Hickey from Hearts before they sold them to Brentford in a big-money deal. The likes of Hellas Verona and Udinese are other clubs who are no stranger to looking to Scotland for talent, with both keen on Josh Doig before he signed for the former and has now moved on to Sassuolo. Aberdeen also sold Ylber Ramadani to Leece last season and he has been another major success story in Serie A.
