A local Alice Springs businessman has revealed the town’s crime crisis has “taken off again” as he makes an emotional plea for greater attention for the plagued community.

Alcohol bans were reintroduced in Northern Territory communities last week after a snap review of liquor laws by the newly appointed Central Australian Regional Controller Dorelle Anderson.

“It’s taken off again in the last few days and we’ve got break-ins everywhere here at the moment,” Mr Clark said. But Mr Clark was sceptical over how much of the money would in fact reach the communities in dire need of help.
