AC/DC are set to return to Scotland for the first time in over a decade with a homecoming show in Edinburgh this summer. The legendary rock band will be performing at the Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium on August 21 as part of their ongoing 'POWER UP' European tour. Angus Young, and his late brother Malcolm, were born in Glasgow, making this performance a special return to their roots.

Legendary rock band AC/DC have confirmed they are set to play something of a homecoming show for part of the band when they return to Edinburgh this summer. The group will be heading to the Scottish capital as they continue their ' POWER UP ' tour across Europe. The multi-million selling band have confirmed their only UK date so far will be an appearance at the Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium on August 21.

Angus Young, and his brother Malcolm who sadly passed away in 2017, were born in Cranhill in Glasgow and the tour will see the band return to Scotland for the first time in over a decade. The ‘POWER UP’ tour, named for their latest studio album, which reached #1 in 21 countries, has seen the band visit Europe last year but the tour continues in spring 2025. AC/DC will play 12 dates across 10 countries this summer and tickets for the shows will be available from 10am on February 7 2025. AC/DC formed in 1973 in Sydney, Australia, they are one of the most influential rock bands in history, with over 200 million albums sold worldwide. The band’s ‘Back In Black’ LP is the ‘bestselling album by any band ever’ and the ‘third bestselling album by any artist’ with global sales of 50 million and counting.
