Salah loved his time in the Serie A with Fiorentina and Roma before his return to the Premier League. The Egypt international is yet to decide on his next destination after he leaves Anfield at the end of the campaign. What did Mohammed Salah achieve in the Serie A? After failing to break into the first team at Chelsea, Salah had loan moves at Fiorentina and Roma, before making a permanent move to the capital club.
In Italy, he managed to showcase his potential at both clubs, as he made 65 appearances in the Serie A and scored 29 times. At Roma, in his loan spell, he helped the club qualify for the Champions League in the 2015-16 campaign before winning their Player of the Season Award. In the following campaign, Roma narrowly missed out on the Serie A title as they finished second, four points behind Juventus at the summit.

Therefore, while Salah did not win any major trophies in Italy, he certainly made his mark. The winger has recently criticised the manager’s style of play, and stated that the Reds need to return to being a “heavy metal attacking team that opponents fear” following a 12th Premier League loss of the season at Aston Villa.
Now, going into the final day of the season, Liverpool face the prospect of missing out on Champions League football if they lose to Brentford and Bournemouth comfortably beat Nottingham Forest. Therefore, Salah could have a big say on the future of Slot at Anfield if he fails to perform this upcoming Sunday.
