The headteacher of an academy on the Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire border has resigned. Steve Huntington, from Heanor Gate Spencer Academy, resigned following a period of extended absence.
Heanor Gate Spencer Academy has now issued a fresh statement, reports Derbyshire Live. The statement informs parents that executive principal Mr Huntington has resigned as of December 31.It said: "Following a period of extended absence from the academy, Mr Huntington has resigned his position as principal of Heanor Gate Spencer Academy with effect from 31 December 2022. We would like to thank Mr Huntington for his services to the academy and the community.
