The club says they want supporters and families to feel safe

Accrington Stanley has warned they will step up police presence to home games following post-match youth violence and disorder. Yobs began to cause trouble following the home games against Port Vale on September 21 and Morecambe on October 5 and disorder broke out around the streets close to the Wham Stadium and on Whalley Road, Accrington .

Footage has been received of some youth disorder on Whalley Road following the game against Morecambe on Saturday October 5 which has been forwarded to Lancashire Police. The club released a statement on their website and stated that anyone identified in the footage and known to be Accrington Stanley supporters will be banned from all games at The Wham Stadium, and could be stopped from attending all regulated football matches in the UK.

A Lancashire Police spokesperson said: “We are aware of a video circulating on social media showing disorder in Whalley Road, Accrington, on October 5. Work is ongoing to identify all parties involved and take the appropriate action against them.
