Shannen Doherty shot to fame when she starred as Brenda Walsh on the original Beverly Hills, 90210, which came out in 1990.
Actress Shannen Doherty known for her roles in 90210 and Charmed as died after a long battle with cancer.
The statement read: "It is with a heavy heart that I confirm the passing of actress Shannen Doherty. On Saturday, July 13, she lost her battle with cancer after many years of fighting the disease. Shannen was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015. She went into remission before it returned. In 2020, she revealed she had stage four breast cancer.
Speaking to PEOPLE last year ahead of Thanksgiving, Shannen said: "I don’t want to die." She went on: "I’m not done with living. I’m not done with loving. I’m not done with creating. I’m not done with hopefully changing things for the better."Shannen shot to fame when she starred as Brenda Walsh on the original Beverly Hills, 90210, which came out in 1990. She then left the show in 1994, before making a guest appearance in 2008 doe the reboot.
