Business is picking up at Parkhead with Idah set to return in a £9.5million switch
Celtic are set to bring back Adam Idah for a whopping £9.5million - and Norwich appear to have dropped a clue over the massive price tag DURING crunch talks this weekend.
Brendan Rodgers' has made no secret of his intentions to bring the striker back to Celtic Park this summer - with talks over a move escalating last weekend with Kyogo Furuhashi suffering an injury scare. But the final package that has been rubber stamped has raised eyebrows among some fans and pundits with the 23-year-old’s fee among the highest fees ever paid out by Celtic - sitting just below the £9million splashed out on Odsonne Edouard in 2018.
In a clue hiding in plain sight for Celtic, he warned in the Pink Un: "I know fans love this time of season where there are so many rumours and so many media stories, but I prefer the start of September. We're not a club where we just give our players away for free, so other teams can see that they have to pay, but end of the day we have to listen when an offer comes like that. "
The Austrian side have seen two bids of £6million and £8million turned down so far. The Liverpool Echo note that Celtic remain "interested" in a deal but the asking price for the 19-year-old sits at £10million.
