Adam Rowe returned to Liverpool for a hometown gig at the Empire theatre last night (Saturday March 9) and the comedian and host of the 'Have a Word' podcast implemented his relatable style of humour to, yet again, leave his crowd in stitches. Filming was also underway for what Rowe hopes will be a "career making" comedy special. Rowe's manager, a stand-up comic called Alfie Brown, entertained the crowd with some ground rules before the show.

As if a show on home territory at one of the city's biggest theatres wasn't enough of a big deal, filming was also underway for what Rowe hopes will be a "career making" comedy special .
Due to the gravity of the event, the comedian's manager entered the stage prior to him, in order to lay down some ground rules, such as "holding in your p*ss" and not being "a kn*bhead". I immediately suspected that Rowe's manager had a background in stand-up comedy, as he held the crowd comfortably, making us laugh with ease. After a little digging, he did turn out to be a stand-up comic called Alfie Brown - someone I probably should have known and a likeable supporting act that none of us knew we neede
