A gold medal-winning Paralympian from West Lothian has been awarded an MBE for services to archery in the King’s New Year honours list.

Nathan, dad to seven-year-old son Casey, was inspired by his wife Tara, 38, to get involved in archery. As well as the Paralympics gold, he also has three European Paralympic Championship medals to his name. He said: “I found out about a month ago. I can’t wait to tell my gran, she’s 91 years old and has been a great supporter and is a bit of a Royalist.
Nathan is already targeting the World Archery Championships in 2025 and beyond that aims to participate at the Paralympics in Los Angeles in 2028.
