NRL: There is confusion across the NRL regarding the circumstances of Josh Addo-Carr's roadside drug test as the Bulldogs wait on the results of a second test.

Canterbury Bulldogs bosses will meet Josh Addo-Carr on Tuesday with the club reportedly set to stand him down ahead of their final with Manly over an alleged failed roadside drug test. However, Danny Weidler tweeted that Addo-Carr is expected to be stood down on Tuesday.Watch every game of every round this NRL Telstra Premiership Season LIVE with no ad-breaks during play on Kayo.

Earlier on Monday Gould took to X claiming: “There is absolutely no truth to rumours that Josh had any issue. None whatsoever”. “They have been keeping an eye on it for 48 hours. The other interesting thing is Josh Addo-Carr has taken himself off to his own doctor today to get a third test done.”Rothfield then revealed it was only a chance emergency that allowed Addo-Carr the opportunity to drive home after the failed test.

“Obviously the fact the Bulldogs didn’t know exactly what happened in the initial stage, that’s an issue.” As fate would have it the Bulldogs awards night was held on Monday, but Addo-Carr was told to stay away by the club.
