Protesters hung signs before entering a VNI West transmission line community meeting to heckle speakers and throw pamphlets.

Gre Gre farmer Billy Baldwin said the protesters "went there in a couple of fire trucks to educate ".Protesters entered the rear of the hall as the meeting began and heckled the AEMO speakers, who adjourned the meeting and went behind the stage.Attendees then began throwing educational pamphlets, which had been delivered to their properties by AEMO in the preceding weeks, onto a large pile inside the hall.
As for aerial support, "the safe flying distance from the transmission towers is determined by the individual pilot based on their experience and regulations set by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority", the website reads.An AEMO spokesperson said more meetings planned in Boort, Stawell, and Kerang would go ahead.
