AFC Telford pumped out its ground and began a fundraising drive as a fixture moved to Wolverhampton.
A football club, which saw its stadium end up several feet underwater in flash floods, has smashed a fundraising target after appealing for help to clear up the damage.
Sunday’s fixture - between Wolves Women and Fylde Women - was moved from Telford’s SEAH Stadium to the Compton Park Training Ground in Wolverhampton. A statement on AFC Telford’s website said after being overwhelmed with water, they had been overwhelmed by kindness.
