AFRICAN COUNTRIES need investment worth billions if they are to stand a chance surviving the climate crisis, experts have said. The highly anticipated climate conference, also dubbed “Africa COP” due to the continent’s vulnerability to the climate disaster, has seen government leaders throughout the global south gather to fight climate change.

International Finance Corporation , the largest global development organisation in the private sector in emerging markets, believes that Africa is expected to see a significant boom in water and the protection of the coast and cooling as the region continues to adapt.Makhtar Diop, managing director of the IFC, said that Africa needs billions pumped into the continent to confront the problems impeding the continent.
