This year's festival follows the 30th anniversary year in 2022, as one of Merseyside's most picturesque green spaces will once again be filled with the music and culture of Africa, the Caribbean and the Diaspora. Africa Oyé began more than three decades ago in 1992 as a series of gigs in the city centre. It is now one of the city's most loved annual events, attracting artists and attendees from across the world.

It consists of two free days of live music, workshops, DJ stages, food stalls and a range of traders in the Oyé Village.Among the acts performing at Sefton Park this weekend are Ghanian highlife stars FRA!, Cameroonian soloist Veeby, and guitarist, percussionist and balafón player, Kimi Djabaté. Paul Duhaney, artistic director for Africa Oye, said: "We're really pleased with the line-up for this year 's festival and how it reflects our ongoing mission to showcase the music of Africa and the wider Diaspora. Artists from Liverpool to Accra and London to Havana will take over Sefton Park this summer for a truly international celebration."12.30pm - 12.50pm - Batala5.05pm - 6.15pm - Kimi Djabate12.30pm - 12.50pm - Staged Kaos5.05pm - 6.
