The south Antrim club will compete in the Energia All-Ireland League for the first time in 2024/25
If anyone was in any doubt as to the strength in depth of club rugby in Ulster, then the last two seasons in the Energia All-Ireland League will have set them straight.
Now, another side from the northern province is looking forward to pitting its wits against senior teams from all over Ireland, after Ballyclare RFC overcame Leinster junior champions Monkstown in their promotion play-off. After beating Connacht champions Creggs in Ashbourne, County Meath, the stage was set for nearby Navan and that showdown with Monkstown: final score 33-28.
“He has been nine years at the club, and the performances on the pitch have just been going up ever since ,” David said. “The support we get from businesses in the town and generous sponsors, it's very much appreciated - we see it as a real community club,” he said.
