'While we will never forget the loss of our Nikki, we will forever remember her as the brilliant mum, partner, sister, daughter and friend'
As the inquest into the death of Nicola Bulley drew to a close, her family had one request for the coroner.

She said: “There has been much rumour, suspicion and speculation… the family are of the view that that has been allayed by the evidence.”Speaking via their lawyer outside County Hall in Preston following the conclusion, they said they were still tormented by social media abuse.
Right up to the week before the inquest the coroner's office was being contacted by those who believed they knew better than highly-experienced coroner Dr James Adeley. Louise, who wore a dress given to her by Nikki during the inquest, sobbed as she said: “Literally I was saying it was booked but she never picked up the message.”
