The Seattle Seahawks have announced their team gameday captains for tonight’s game against the San Francisco 49ers. Kenneth Walker, Jarran Reed, and Tre Brown have all been named team captains for this primetime matchup against a division rival. This is the second time Reed has been given the nod, with the first time coming one opening day against the Denver Broncos. Both Walker and Brown are first-time gameday captains this season. The name that stands out the most of these three is Tre Brown.
Walker’s gameday captain nod is also somewhat telling after only receiving five carries against the Giants last Sunday. All week, the coaching staff has been adamant that they need to increase the carries that Walker receives. Perhaps, this gameday captain nod is a sign that K9 will be in for an increased carry count. Reed has been mostly under the radar in this 2024 Seahawks defense. This isn’t too surprising considering the other defensive lineman who Seattle brought in recently .
