Foreign Affairs Spokesperson Ma. Teresita Daza announced that the President and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos have been invited to attend King Charles III coronation ceremony on May 6. "The presence of the President at this momentous and historic event adds to the good will between both the Philippines and United Kingdom and would serve to strengthen and enhance our overall bilateral relations across all areas of cooperation," Daza said.
Daza added that the "unique gathering of leaders from all regions" also presents opportunities to discuss at the highest level potential collaboration across all areas of cooperation.The President will attend the forum at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, His Excellency Joko Widodo.
