Pharmacy Guild Vice President Anthony Tassone says the government’s new reforms with 60-day drug dispensing will force aged-care residents to “pay more” for their pharmaceuticals services.
“These government cuts are going to result in patients in residential aged care having to pay more for their services from their local pharmacy in terms of the packing … and being delivered to the facilities,” Mr Tassone told Sky News Australia. “Patients haven’t had to pay for these services from their local pharmacy … but these cuts that are going to cut in from September 1 will result in patients having to pay for these services from their pharmacy.
