The agent of new Juventus signing Michele Di Gregorio has claimed that the goalkeeper did not snub a transfer to Liverpool . The Reds were credited with an interest in the shot-stopper earlier this summer but he decided to remain in Italy. Juventus signed Di Gregorio from Monza earlier this summer after he enjoyed an impressive season in Serie A. Before the move was confirmed, the 26-year-old was heavily linked with a move to Liverpool.
However, the player's agent, Carlo Alberto Belloni, has dismissed the speculation that Di Gregorio rejected a move to Liverpool. “It wasn’t a ‘no’ to Liverpool, but rather keeping our word given to Juve,' Belloni told Tuttosport via Foot Italia . 'We had shaken hands with Giuntoli a few months ago and we wanted to respect the agreement made.' Despite having three first-team goalkeepers in the squad, there has still been speculation that some could leave Anfield.
