Damage to infrastructure and agriculture across the country due to Tropical Cyclone Aghon has exceeded P1 billion, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said Thursday.In its latest report, the NDRRMC said P942,546,193 worth of damage to infrastructure was reported in Calabarzon. For agriculture, P85,627,965 worth of damage was reported in Calabarzon and Mimaropa.The number of fatalities was reported at eight, according to the NDRRMC .

Of the affected population, 624 individuals or 185 families were still staying in evacuation centers, while 2,220 persons or 575 families were taking shelter in other places.A total of 7,659 houses were damaged due to Aghon—6,907 partially and 752 totally.Nineteen cities and municipalities declared a state of calamity.Power outages were still reported in six areas and communication line issues in one area, the NDRRMC said.Two domestic flights remained canceled.
