Agrarian reform beneficiaries’ organizations have earned a total of P2.377 billion through the government’s Program Against Hunger and Poverty , according to the Department of Agrarian Reform.
During PAHP’s initial implementation in 2019, ARBOs under the Comprehensive Agrarain Reform Program mustered P3.68 million; increasing to P148.86 million in 2020; P485.39 million in 2021; in P800.09 million in 2022; P680.68 million in 2023, and P259.13 million as of April 2024. DAR has linked 470 ARBOs to institutional markets such as the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, Department of Health, Department of Social Welfare and Development, Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine National Police, Department of Education, National Nutrition Council, local government units, DAR Employees Association, medical mission groups, San Miguel Food Inc. and Pro Green Agricorp.
Support Services Office Undersecretary Rowena Niña Taduran said through collaborative efforts, DAR and its partners have made a significant impact on the lives of the farmers. PAHP is government initiative to address food security, hunger and poverty problems through the cooperation and convergence of essential services of various government agencies.
