Ahead of their clash on the football field on Saturday, Texas State University and the University of Texas San Antonio are competing to see who can raise more money for their food pantries. The schools stoke the fires of their rivalry as they both rise in prominence, this time competing until Sept. 7 in the ' Huddle Against Hunger ' challenge to see who can raise more money for their respective food pantries for food-insecure students.
Texas State both looking for leap entering Week 2 matchup The prize money goes to the schools' respective food banks, according to Texas State spokesperson Jayme Blaschke, along with all funds raised during the competition. As of Wednesday afternoon, Texas State led UTSA with 260 contributions and neary $15,000 raised, while UTSA had 150 contributions and close to $8,000 raised. You can donate at huddlehunger.com.
